What TAXKAYA is, what it is not, and where its numbers come from. Worth reading before you rely on any figure it shows you.

i.

Independence

TAXKAYA is operated by GENETRIFY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, registered with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry under DTI Business Name Registration No. 8072131 and BIR TIN 800-066-409. Registered address: Polomolok, South Cotabato.

TAXKAYA is independent software built to help self-employed Filipinos keep their books and understand their tax position. It is a private product, sold by a private business.

ii.

No government affiliation

TAXKAYA is not affiliated with, associated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Finance, or any other agency of the Republic of the Philippines. No agency sponsors, approves or reviews this software or its content.

Form numbers such as 1701A, 1701Q, 2551Q and 2303, and terms such as “BIR,” “RDO” and “ORUS,” are used descriptively to identify the real documents and offices they name. They are not marks of official endorsement.

TAXKAYA does not file, transmit or submit anything to the BIR. It has no connection to eFPS, eBIRForms or ORUS. Filing remains something you do yourself, through the BIR’s own channels.

iii.

Not professional advice

Everything in TAXKAYA — the computed figures, the compliance calendar, the form guides, the process walkthroughs and the taxpayer-rights material — is general information about published rules. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice and it is not tailored to your circumstances.

Using this software creates no professional relationship. We are not your accountant and not your counsel. Before you file, before you elect a tax regime, and before you act on anything here, confirm it with a qualified professional who knows your situation.

iv.

What the numbers actually are

The tax figures are cash-planning estimates, produced so you can set money aside before a deadline. They are not a filing-grade computation and should not be copied onto a return unchecked.

  • Every figure is derived from what you entered. Incomplete or misclassified entries produce a confident-looking wrong answer.
  • Year-to-date amounts are used as they stand rather than annualised, so an estimate grows through the year instead of projecting a strong January into a bill you cannot pay.
  • The regime comparison applies the general rules for a self-employed individual. It does not model every exemption, credit, carry-over or special arrangement that may apply to you.
  • Deadlines are generated from published rules and rolled off weekends. The BIR can and does move dates by issuance; the authoritative calendar is the BIR's, not ours.
v.

Rules change

Philippine tax rules change — by statute, by revenue regulation, and by circular. The calculations here are written against the National Internal Revenue Code as amended by TRAIN, CREATE and the Ease of Paying Taxes Act (RA 11976), as understood at the date shown at the top of this page.

We update the software when rules change, which means a figure computed today may legitimately differ from the same figure computed a year ago on identical inputs. We do not guarantee that every change is reflected immediately, and we are not liable for a rule we have not yet caught up with.

vi.

What remains yours

You are responsible for what you file, when you file it, what you pay, and the books you are required to keep. Any penalty, surcharge, interest or assessment is yours regardless of what this software displayed.

Our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.

Official sources

For authoritative information — rates, deadlines, forms, and the Citizen's Charter that governs what an RDO may require of you — go to the Bureau of Internal Revenue directly:

Where our guides cite a specific regulation, charter entry or checklist code, the source is linked on the page so you can read it yourself rather than take our word for it.
